REFLECTION
Throughout the weeks of writing the draft dissertation, I have gained added clarity into how the Nudge Theory s prevalent in my daily life. I see it every time I use an app on my phone and especially so when using technology. in all honestly, there was fear, in knowing that I have no control over the way these apps were designed. they were designed to keep me hooked and spend longer time on these apps which distract the work at hand. however, after research into the nudge theory, I have noticed the positive implications and how this theory can help overcome bias, and how nudge designs can be used to accelerate the adoption of new behaviors especially ones that are intended. after all, we fear what we don't understand, and once I have understood the nudge theory, instead of fear, I see hope in implementing this is various touch points for the betterment of self and community.
The process of creating this journal article has been an enlightening one. my main goal in creating this journal article was to ensure my academic peers will gain access to clear, cohesive information on nudge theory so they may run their own research efficiently and effectively. For this task specifically, I was not able to get much feedback from Dr Hayati as my progress was rather slow and I couldn't show her my work.
I feel very relieved to finally finish my two research modules. With that said, I would like to thank Dr Hayati for all her patience and guidance throughout the past 15 weeks. She even got sick and was feeling very unwell for a quite a while but fortunately, she recovered and continued to help us students in our journey. I am forever indebted to Dr Hayati, thank you, thank you, thank you!
