 TASKS

Lecture slides:

During the first week of class, we were given the task of watching and analysing stop-motion shorts.

 Inspiration:

 Week 9

It is about time we explore and decide our ideas and themes for our final project.
Stop motions different in styles and art direction in many ways, you might only like certain of them; those are the stop m motion style you want to give a try.
The proposal allows us to initiate the project in a systematic way: It set the direction after we view/research on the subject matter.
You only need to work until :VISUAL REFERENCES/MOOD BOARDS (rational, screenshots & Links) only for week 9.
The second part you can continue after the shooting test on-campus/or individual.

 Week 10

Stop motion trial shoot, 20th OCT:

Venue:
E1.01 (Photo studio)

Time:
Morning session: 9:00am-12:00pm
Group A:
Ngu Kah Shin (Ellis)
Lew Se Win
Chaw Zhi Ting (Janice)
Dorcas Lim Jie Shi
Lui Hsiao Hui (Tressa)

Objectives:
1. To experience stop motion shooting, which is fundamentally different from the video shoot.
2. Try out the photo studio, a venue you can consider for the final project shoot.
3. You guys haven’t actually met yet. You should hang out after the shoot, have lunch/dinner together.

What to do:
Stop motion test shoot (Clay/Lego. leftover from your seniors ;>)

What to bring:
Shooting equipment:
School provides Canon’s DSLRs, Tripods & Lighting kits.
However, I recommend each group at least bring one set of your own equipment (Phone, remote control & tripod) for the test shoot. So that you will know how to shoot with your own equipment.

Editing:
Editing stop motion is very different compared to video, we will try it in our Mac Lab, D7.04.
